Executing Ctrl-Alt-Delete On Remote Desktop
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007
This is very cool, I had a computer that I needed to get into via Remote desktop that locked up the UI of Windows and I couldn't get to the start menu to get into task manager.
If you do Ctrl-Alt-Delete it will execute the command on your local computer, not the remote desktop computer.
Using Ctrl-Alt-End is the equivalent of Ctrl-Alt-Delete on the RDP computer. Run that, and you will get the task manager for the remote computer.
Pretty sweet, wish I would have known this a long time ago.
