Netbeans and PHP: A promising future
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008
I have recently been using Netbeans Early Access for PHP and I must say thus far I am very impressed. The world of PHP editors has been a long, rough, and mostly incomplete road thus far, especially when you are talking about the free editors that are available.
Netbeans Early Access is already sporting class completion, very accurate and fast intellisense, and even has inline Javascript and HTML completion for escaping PHP and outputting HTML.
There are a few small issues that have arisen, sometimes the intellisense is too agressive, as well as the autocomplete, and I have received a few NullReference exceptions, but for the most part this product is already very useable, and if you, like me, have struggled for a long time to find a quality PHP editor, I would highly recommend checking out Netbeans for your PHP needs.
